 Featured Presenter: Dr. Catherine Meeks, Ph.D.

            We remember from Dr. Meeks’ earlier times with our group that she is retired from Wesleyan College where she was the Clara Carter Acree Distinguished Professor of Socio-Cultural Studies and the Executive Director of the Lane Center.  She has written several books and continues to write a twice-monthly column for The Telegraph in Macon, Georgia.

Dr. Meeks led our group at our June and September Seminars last year and agreed to continue sharing ideas this March.

Currently Dr. Meeks has been working with an annual Wellness Fair that will take place before she meets with us.  If you’d like to get ahead of the curve, you can go to the Second Annual Wellness Fair March 13, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Frank Johnson Recreation Center, 2227 Mercer University Drive, Macon Georgia, 31204.  For more information, call Catherine at (478) 737-8849 or Marti Miller at (478) 923-1546.  The event is open to everyone and is free.
